Description: Sergeant Alvin York was a decorated war hero who served in the U.S. Army on the front lines in World War I. His life was featured in the highest-grossing film of 1941, "Sergeant York." Col. Keene conducts the Concert Band in a live performance of the Overture from "Sergeant York." This work was recorded by the U.S. Army Field Band on the "Soundtrack of the American Soldier" album, which won a Grammy in the 63rd Grammy Awards for Best Immersive Audio Album. Performed live in Fall 2018 on the Concert Band and Soldiers' Chorus national concert tour. Composed by Max Steiner, arranged by Master Sgt.
